SK's Pine To Copper

SK's Pine To Copper

Whoopee. A cheap $50 pine armoire.
My first conception drawing

The texture is called WoodFrosting: http://www.woodicing.com/ it's fabulous to use with stencils. I actually did the whole cabinet this time as I wanted the old texture of corroded copper.

I used curtain finials for feet. Sanded them lightly and painted to match the cabinet.

My paints are a combination of Annie Sloan Chalk paint and Modern Masters oxidizing paint:

Actually watching paint dry. It's fun to watch the oxidizing take place.

The little mirrors are plain glass cut and painted with mirror paint and antiqued. I then framed them in decorative wood.

Such an amazing texture.

I used antique metal door knob plates and new crystal knobs.

This feels and looks like real antique copper. Amazing stuff...

Thanks for joining in the fun.
