Can’t Go Wrong with Damask

One of the things I love about Classical Design is how it works with all other periods. A classical interior is a great backdrop for super contemporary furnishings or period antiques. Classically inspired damask designs look great with contemporary furnishings or more traditional interiors. You just can’t go wrong by introducing a damask pattern on your walls. Whether you choose from a huge selection of wallpaper designs or do a damask stencil you can cover all the walls or one of my favorites put it in panels.

Classic Damasks from Zoffany

Love this damask stencil available from Dressler Stencils. The stencil is very delicate which makes it difficult to use for the entire room so I prefer this design done in panels. I painted the wall with Modern Masters Pale Gold and then used Benjamin Moore Monroe Bisque for the stencil.
